Careers

We’re not hiring for roles.
We’re hiring for questions.

The best people here aren’t the ones with the most answers. They’re the ones who couldn’t stop asking. Why does this work? What if it didn’t have to? What would happen if we tried the opposite? If that’s how your mind works, keep reading.

What We’re Asking

These are the questions
we come to work for.

?What if reasoning isn’t sequential — what if it’s topological?
?Can a machine learn physics the way a child does — by breaking things?
?What if the best decision requires reading every document ever written about the subject?
?Why do the most important discoveries happen at the boundaries between fields?
?What would medicine look like if diagnosis took 1.4 seconds instead of 6 months?
?Is there a formal proof that a system will behave safely — not just a test, a proof?
Who Thrives Here

Three traits. All non-negotiable.

The Questioner

You ask the question nobody else in the room thinks to ask. Not because you’re contrarian — because you actually noticed the assumption everyone else walked past. You’ve derailed at least one meeting by saying “wait, why do we think that’s true?” and it turned out to be the most important moment of the quarter.

The Obsessive

You’ve spent years on a problem not because someone assigned it — because you couldn’t stop. You read papers on vacation. You prototype in your head during conversations. The gap between what exists and what should exist keeps you up at night. We have the compute, the data, and the mandate. You bring the conviction.

The Polymath

Your best idea came from a field you weren’t trained in. You see structural similarities between protein folding and compiler optimization, between treaty language and neural architecture. The boundaries between disciplines feel artificial to you. They are. We built a company around that belief.

How We Work

A culture built for curiosity.

Question Everything meetings
Weekly sessions where anyone can challenge any assumption in any project. No rank, no ownership, no defensiveness. The best question wins, not the highest title.
20% for rabbit holes
One day a week, follow your curiosity wherever it leads. Some of our most important breakthroughs started as someone’s Thursday afternoon “what if.” ArcOne’s cross-domain reasoning began as a rabbit hole.
No stupid questions. Literally.
We maintain a living document of questions that changed our direction. Most of them sounded naive when they were first asked. “Why are we treating these as separate problems?” became our entire architecture.
Cross-pollination by design
Robotics engineers sit with safety researchers. ML engineers pair with the clinical team. The org chart is flat because curiosity doesn’t follow reporting lines.
Operating Conditions

Not perks. Conditions for doing your best work.

Problems worth decades
Not quarterly OKRs. Research agendas measured in years, funded to completion.
Compute without apology
The resources to test ideas at scale. If the experiment matters, you run it.
Peers, not managers
Flat research structure. Your work is reviewed by people who understand it.
Publication encouraged
Your discoveries belong to science, not just to us. We publish.
